About Steel My Heart
Steel My Heart plays a variety of styles of popular upbeat "party atmosphere" songs along with a good mixture of slow dance songs. The soul of the band is based in classic rock but the band understands the need for diversity and does play some country too. Although Steel My Heart is a recently formed project, the band lineup consist of seasoned veterans and you hear it in their sound. In 2019 Steel My Heart was launched by both Steven Hofer and Michael Watson. Through the years both Steven and Michael have worked together in local and touring bands along with collabrating on original music with each other so in early 2019 they decided to form a band with diverse vocals and rich harmonies. The first step was to form the core of the band with a solid drummer who could also carry lead and backing vocals too but they actually found the featured female lead vocalist of the band Tina Purser first. The drummer / vocalist Michael Paul VanDusen would soon follow. Unlike most bands you hear in the club circuits, this band has the kind of vocal harmonies that most bands dream about having. Because there are three male lead vocalist along with a featured vocally polished female vocalist, Steel My Heart has the ability to cover a wide range of musical styles that range from classic rock, blues and some country along with newer music. Steel My Heart has a classic rock soul but the band also has the ability to cover other styles of music too. In essance Steel My Heart is a high energy band that knows how to work an audience and their song selection are the kind of songs that hold the audiences attention.
